He held the position of Research Associate for 2 years at University of Tokyo, and was participated numerous research projects for thermal comfort, ventilation system and air-conditioning system. After joining the faculty of Sungkyunkwan University in 2004, Prof. Song pursued his specialties in research projects. His research specialties are thermal comfort, ventilation, air-conditioning, CFD simulation, air-flow network simulation and building energy simulation. He was honored as a Best Paper Award of J. of Building and Environment in 2010.
